Actually, I'm not the guy who is a big fan of high technology and the latest electronic products. I won't be so fascinate about which company publish a new products and what new technology used in it. When facing these high technology things , even more like I'm the one who's being pushed by the trend. I still remember I first had a smart phone was on 2001, when I was on Fourth grade. It was a Nokia cellphone, with a tiny black & white screen and lines of number buttons. The smart phone helped me a lot cause I can send a message to my parents every time when I went out alone. At that time, although the function of the phone was so simple, I felt it was so awesome cause it helped me connected with my family no matter when it is and where I am. That was the first time I felt the real power of the telecommunication.
The rapid advances in science and technology in this years dramatically changed the way we live and communicate. The functions of the smart phone get more and more as well as the quality and the scale of the screen get better and larger. Today's smartphone is not the product which can only take a call or send a message, and it more like a tiny personal computer which has tens and thousands various functions. Listening the music, shopping, chatting, entertainment , video conference...Rapid progress of hardware and software bring us to a new era. User centered design get more and more popular this years--discover user's desire and make the function satisfy their requirement. Therefore, smart phone follows this principle and being more easily to be use. I can't go out without my phone now, google map helps me find my way, monument kills my boring time and dictionary app was my translator.
Technology help us stand higher , see further and listen more clear. I feel my phone just like a multifunctional organ of me, I cannot live without it. I really feel the strong power of smart phone, but I just can't have the same trust on it as I was a kid. The stronger power of it scare me.
Rather than putting all function in one terminal, I still use iPod listen to music and the Kindle watch Ebook. Too much dependence on one thing make me feel less security, and I think this is just the relationship between me and my phone--I hope to find a balance way to live more independently but always make a compromise to its powerful functions.
